Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and we will complete all the Uk registration paperwork in the new owners name. This one is a very solid car which appears to have had a bit money spent on it fairly recently. It starts runs and drives but will need a bit of finishing off / tidying

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors, boot wells. No signs of any nasty patches or botched up repairs. Looks a very good shell. Paintwork is Ok and is useable but if you want it really nice youd need to be prepared to paint it. Couple of minor dents and one small bit of bubbling on bottom of drivers door. Overall a vreally good strong and original shell.

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow which is very quiet. Original 4 speed box. Clutch and brakes feel Ok. . Poly bushing on front. New track rod ends. Looks like someone has spent a bit money on it recently. As with any old car it will need a good checkover prior to sending it sideways round your local roundabout.

Interior - Seats have been retrimmed and have no rips or tears but dont look great. Door cards were missing but we have a set of brown ones we will put with the car.

Wheels - S7" Minilite style wheels with 205/60/13 tyres. I suspect these are a bit too far offset and would probably rub the arches under load.

Pretty good shell which seems to have had a bit money spent on it. Great rolling / running project. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote
